About the Tournament

Where Canada's Best Get Discovered

Since 2008, CROWN Scout Girls and Chris Smalling have built the Chris Smalling Girls Basketball Tournament into the most-watched girls' basketball weekend on the Canadian calendar. Every autumn, junior and senior high school and prep programs travel from across Canada, Europe, and the United States to compete on the same hardwood.

What sets this tournament apart isn't just the level of play — it's who's in the stands. No event in the country draws a deeper bench of university and college scouts, making every possession a chance to be seen by the people who matter most.

Held across two campuses in Oshawa, the tournament pairs championship-caliber competition with a cause: every ticket sold helps stock local food banks.

For Scouts & Programs

Canada's Most-Scouted Weekend of Basketball

Platinum and Gold division games routinely draw the largest concentration of university and college scouts of any girls' tournament in the country — which is exactly why the top programs from three countries keep coming back.
